Put the loose tea leaves in the french press. Heat water to 90 degrees Celcius or 195 degrees Farenheit. It is important the water is not boiling hot as that will burn the tea leaves and make it taste too bitter.
Pour the water into the french press. Let the tea leaves soak without pressing down the filter for 10 minutes.
While your tea is seeping, heat up the milk. You can do this in a small saucepan or in the microwave.
When using the microwave: put it in a microwave safe container at 750W for one minute. Take it out and stir, and put it in for another minute at 750W. Make sure to keep an eye on it, as the milk heats up it might start overflowing.
When using a saucepan: heat the milk but don't bring it to a boil.
When the milk is warm, stir in the sugar until it's resolved.
After 10 minutes of seeping the tea, press down the filter on the french press. Pour the tea into a sizable cup, making sure there's still room in the cup for the milk to be poured. Then pour in the milk aswell and stir.
Drink up! Enjoy :) No french press or loose tea? Check 'alternative' for a way to prepare with bagged tea.
